The Xiyuan Salt Field in Jinsha Town leads tourists to learn about the nearly 700-year history of the salt industry in Kinmen. The field features rich illustrations and texts that highlight the uniqueness of Kinmen's salt industry, as well as the role of salt in the daily lives of Kinmen residents. In addition, there are two important inscribed stone tablets within the park, namely the "Memorial Tablet of Han Cong, the Salt Commissioner of Qing Wu Zhou" and the "Yongan Bridge Tablet," which witness the development of Kinmen's salt industry and the important position of Xiyuan in salt production. The Xiyuan Salt Field Cultural Museum has redeveloped the old building complex into its current appearance, still preserving the past salt evaporation areas. Tourists can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the salt fields here and take unique and beautiful photos. Although the peak of the salt industry is no longer as it was, it now showcases its past glory through tourism.
