Wugang, also known as Mingwu Gang, is located to the north of a bay. In the past, it was a coastal settlement. There were salt fields next to the village. In recent centuries, due to silt accumulation, the inflow of water has gradually decreased, and the salt fields have long been abandoned. After the construction of the Tiantun sea dike in 1976, the coastline has moved one kilometer away. The Beiji Temple within the village was originally built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It worships the Emperor Xuantian as the guardian deity of the area. The right shrine is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva, while the left shrine is dedicated to the Lord of Grace and the Lady of Grace. It has a close relationship with the Longfeng Temple in Guanao.
