Cidal, which originates from the Amis language, not only means the sun but also symbolizes the mother in the matriarchal Amis society. Therefore, Cidal Hunter School is not only filled with enthusiasm and vitality but also aspires to protect the land and care for the people in the tribe like a mother. The traditional culture of the indigenous people has been gradually neglected and ignored with modernization, and the changes in the industrial structure have severely impacted the original way of life of the tribe, forcing young people to leave their hometowns to work and making it difficult to preserve the traditional culture. With a deep sense of this, we established Cidal Hunter School, with the goal of passing down, continuing, and protecting, actively promoting the traditional culture of the indigenous people and passing on the precious knowledge, skills, and life wisdom contained therein, as well as the values of living in harmony with nature and thriving together. We also hope that by combining traditional and leisure tourism, we can bring new vitality to the tribe, promote local employment opportunities, and allow the general public to understand the indigenous culture and this land from a different perspective. The experience activities of Cidal Hunters cover the fields of mountains and seas, including: fire-starting, making Dalu'an, plant identification, ecological tours, making hunting traps, making compound bows, etc.
