The Aboriginal-themed Tribal Park on the left bank of the Dahan River was completed in 2009. In addition to painting the embankment slope and the circular activity plaza, the plaza was given a new totem to refresh its look. Space for tour buses during events was also considered: two bus parking spaces and a pedestrian walkway were added, and the entrance to the car park was widened, making it easier for Aboriginal groups and the general public to hold activities here. Every year, New Taipei City’s joint Aboriginal cultural event is held in the park, featuring Aboriginal creative crafts, traditional foods, and agricultural product stalls. It brings together Aboriginal people scattered throughout New Taipei City, strengthening community bonds and, more importantly, reminding them not to forget the cultural roots of their tribes. On the east side of the park’s car park, a traditional Aboriginal archery range has been built. Archery is an important part of Aboriginal culture, and this facility will benefit many more Aboriginal friends by providing a venue for archery competitions and relaxation. The park also has a sports field, barbecue area, Harvest Festival plaza, and other amenities.
