On the way to Alishan Forest Recreation Area, you will inevitably see a large wooden house in Banlu Township. This is the Touchkou Work Station of the Chiayi Forestry Administration, the only natural education center in Taiwan with a tree bank, providing a place to preserve precious old trees. Every old tree has its own life story, waiting for you to listen; the park is planted with over a hundred species of trees and butterfly-attracting plants from low to mid-altitudes, each season offering distinct scenery and ecological species, ready for you to discover.

The center employs environmental education project teachers, specifically dedicated to serving outdoor lessons for junior high and elementary students. Professional staff, rich and exciting courses, and a safe environment create a new realm where children can learn happily in nature and emulate it; on certain Saturdays, themed activities provide the best leisure destination for the general public.
