The trail is approximately 2,400 meters long and was originally an old path used by early indigenous people for hunting. There are two entrances, located near the 19-kilometer mark of Highway 129 and the "Niyahousa Hunter's Camp" at the 20-kilometer mark. Starting from the north entrance, the trail ascends through a series of wooden and rocky steps, winding through the dense forest. The trail has some incline, but the journey remains refreshing and comfortable. Along the way, you'll see various ferns, low-growing grasses and flowers, and abundant fig trees with hidden fruit, adding to the lush scenery. The trail intersects with farm roads several times. After passing the first intersection with a farm road, the trail continues into the dense forest, soon revealing a few tall camphor trees standing alongside the path. The trail then leads to an observation deck, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding camphor trees and the refreshing scent of the air. In July and August, the camphor trees bear fruit, attracting numerous birds. Continuing along the trail, you'll find an observation pavilion at the highest point, where you can enjoy a tranquil and leisurely atmosphere. After resting for a while, the trail descends through a series of slopes. The scenery gradually changes to a growth of bamboo, Chinese fir, and broadleaf trees. The trail then passes through a farm, where locals grow crops such as ginger and citrus. This area marks the southern end of the trail, which intersects with a farm road. The trail then enters a large plantation of tea-oil trees, with large tea-oil seeds hanging from the branches of old trees, mostly grown without pesticides. After harvesting, the tea-oil seeds are processed through sun drying and other steps, eventually being pressed into smooth and fragrant tea oil within the village. Finally, a short walk along wooden stairs and a simulated wooden path through the bamboo forest leads to the southern entrance of the trail, located near the "Niyahousa Hunter's Camp".
