Located at Xikou Vegetable Market's little corner, Aunt Ajie's traditional food shop, without any hanging signboard, has been open for twenty years. Although there is no fancy décor, the insistence of the husband and wife owner on preserving the old-fashioned flavor fills the shop with the rich aromas familiar and beloved by every seasoned foodie. Whether it’s meat soup, rice cake, pork rib crisp or other soups, they are all worth tasting.
It is worth mentioning that the “Grandma's Taro Cake” is only made on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It inherited the signature dish from the former catering chef, “Aizai Master” and his wife, and is now passed on to the third generation. From the filling to the wrapper, it strictly adheres to handmade production without any chemical additives. Each bite is full of filling and unique flavor, while the wrapper is extremely fragrant and chewy. Customers describe it as “you’ll miss it after eating, and you’ll crave it if you don’t.”
To serve more customers, the shop now offers ordering and home delivery for the taro cake and pork rib crisp. We welcome the public to place orders.
