The elongated Lin Pi wetland park in Xianlong, located in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung City, lies between Dingjin Hout Road and the Dingjin Interchange. It is one of the successful wetland parks in Kaohsiung in recent years, combining flood detention, flood prevention, leisure education, and ecological functions. To the north of the park is the “Ecological Dense Forest Area,” where the dense native Lin Pi forest serves as an urban lung, buffering and mitigating the impact of the northern highway on the ecosystem and environment. The “Ecological Maintenance Area” deepens the original terrain through dredging, creating ecological floating islands and water cultivation zones, where wild ginger flowers, shittim, cattails, and other aquatic plants are planted. The natural self‑cleaning mechanism of the ecological pond purifies the water. The fresh environment and natural greenery attract waterfowl and wildlife, while the bike path and shaded trees provide a peaceful retreat for visitors—a beautiful backyard of Kaohsiung City.
