Located at No. 151, Guagongdong’an, Budaicheng, this snack shop sits next to a local city deity temple. Inside, there are only two sets of simple tables and chairs, a cart, and a thirty‑year‑old menu board. The shop offers just three treats: black tea, mung bean soup, and tofu pudding. Though there are only three simple sweets, each one carries a depth of mastery.
The tofu pudding, made entirely by hand, is both quivering and soft; the sweet soup takes a full day and night to simmer, resulting in an outstanding aroma and sweetness. Each mung bean in the soup is tender yet not mushy, striking a perfect balance for an excellent mouthfeel.
