Established in 1946 in the old Taiping Market, it has now been half a century. The items that have been popular since the opening include peanut malatou, mung bean peng, puff pastry, pineapple ball, pineapple cake, and old-style meat pie. The malatou is delicious and not sticky, but unfortunately the shop doesn't make it often. One of the signature items is the curry braised pork pie. The filling is made with fresh black pork leg meat, scallions, rock sugar, five-spice powder, and specially blended curry powder, stir-fried together. It has a rich and fragrant aroma, with a balance of salty and sweet flavors, making it more captivating than ordinary sweet pastries.
