When visiting Pinglin, aside from buying tea and eating tea-based dishes, you can walk into the mountains and across the suspension bridge to admire the Dagou Tooth landform at Huliou Lake. The Dagou Tooth landform was formed by the extrusion and tilting of strata which were uplifted. Under the erosion of the Beashi Creek, the fragile shale disintegrated, leaving behind saw-toothed sandstone which resembles a dog's teeth, and hence its name. As the Jade Water Reservoir was built upstream of the Beashi Creek, a lot of the Dagou Tooth landform was submerged in water. However, by going near Huliou Lake and standing on the Huliou Lake Suspension Bridge, one can still get a panoramic view of this magnificent landform.
