The Chulu Leisure Agricultural Area covers about 600 hectares. Located on the Taiwan 9 Line from Taitung City toward Guan-shan via the East Rift Valley, it focuses on producing jackfruit, loquat, plum, and coffee. Along the route are attractions such as Chulu Coffee, the Native Plant Garden, Mountain Pig Farm Organic Coffee, Jiuniu Pottery, Jiafang Tea Plantation, and Quhe Winery. Within the park, Chulu Ranch is the largest sloping ranch in Taiwan, and the Native Plant Garden cultivates over 300 varieties of medicinal herbs— the most in the east. The area also supports coffee, jackfruit, tea, plum, and loquat farmers.
