The museum is the result of Penghu people’s efforts to collect local folk artifacts for over forty years. Inside the building, about a thousand everyday items such as drinking vessels, clothing, furniture, and transportation tools are displayed. In the one‑hundred‑ping (approximately 330 square meters) exhibition space, there are areas for deities and Buddhist statues as well as a furniture embroidery section. The collection includes more than two hundred deity statues from the islands of Wang An, Ji Bei, and Qimei; the furniture embroidery area features exquisitely carved red‑sleep beds, the antique “teeth beds” reserved for wealthy young ladies, and collectibles such as sword belts and embroidered shoes—warrants a visit.
