Covered in pale-pink blossoms like drifting clouds and set off by ruby-red calyces, the Pink Shower Tree rivals cherry-blossoms in delicate beauty—so much so that it has earned the romantic nickname “Peach-Petal Rain Tree.” Its display lasts a full forty-five days, making it a new favorite among blossom-chasers. The Ershui Pink Shower Trees line the Yuanquan section of the Ershui Bikeway, right beside the Jiji Railway tracks—a sight every bit as stunning as the sakura along the Alishan line. Each blooming season causes a sensation; visitors pour in from every corner to witness this sky-burst of color. The high point is waiting for a little train to round the bend: watching it glide into the floral tunnel, brush past in full bloom, and slowly disappear. In that instant, yearning and impermanence intertwine, leaving every spectator spellbound.
