高雄市美濃區中山路二段421巷80號
Mei-nong, situated within Kaohsiung, is the largest Hakka settlement in the region and forms part of the "Six Stacks"—a Hakka civilian defense organization in the Gaoping River watershed—that historically designated it as the Right Stack. This small town in southern Taiwan exudes a rich Hakka cultural identity and retains a sincere, down-to-earth atmosphere, unlike the densely populated neighboring town of Qishan. Mei-nong maintains an easygoing, slow-paced lifestyle that evokes the leisurely rhythm of the past. The Mei-nong Folk Cultural Village preserves traditional Hakka culture and showcases the region's cultural geography, customs, and tourism activities with the participation of local industry leaders. The architectural design of the village combines smokehouses and courtyard compounds, encapsulating the essence of Hakka culture in Mei-nong. Within the cultural village, visitors can admire and engage in traditional handicrafts, including handmade oilpaper umbrellas, pottery wheel-throwing, grinding擂 tea, and savoring vintage-style iced tea and Hakka delicacies. Stepping into the Mei-nong Folk Cultural Village immerses travelers in a genuine Hakka rural experience. By the entrance, small ornamental pools shaped like oxen wheels and stone grain mills enhance the ancient ambience, drawing visitors in with their nostalgic charm.
