As Jiufen, the former gold mountain town, once again drew the world's attention, the emergence of Jiufen's first art and tea house not only introduced the tea house culture but also sparked a recreational craze of "drinking tea in upper Jiufen". Under the psychological influence of "not losing to others", the subsequent competitors spared no effort, and over 20 tea houses with unique characteristics emerged in this small mining settlement. The former residence of Weng Shan-ying is now used as a Jiufen tea house, and its original spatial layout has been largely maintained. The building itself is a stone and wood structure, which appears simple and rustic. The front is a one-story building, while the back is a two-story building. The interior space has retained its original appearance, with rich spatial changes and a traditional architectural layout. The current renovation has made clever use of the space, retaining the original characteristics while also adding flexibility to the building. Despite having a history of over a century, the residence still exudes its unique charm.
