The Dawn-Light Bridge is located inside the New Taipei Metropolitan Park in Sanchong District. It is a newly opened scenic bridge that debuted at the end of 2018, linking the two banks of the Erchong Floodway. Inspired by the legend of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl’s reunion, its design features twin, stacked curved decks that form viewing platforms. The meandering bridge resembles a silver river, symbolizing the path on which the lovers meet again. In addition to its distinctive shape, romantic constellation light sculptures illuminate the structure after dark. As the first pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly waterside bridge built for lingering and crossing, Dawn-Light offers a landscaped stream, splash carpets, a snack plaza, lush plantings, five sets of nighttime constellation lights, three barrier-free elevators, four gently sloped bike ramps, and seven “nebula magpie” pergolas, inviting visitors to admire the park by day or night.
