The Chen Family Farm is located on a hillside at the end of Jioukuo Lake Fuli Rural Village. The farm's main attractions are its restaurant, orchard, and the rhinoceros beetles that appear in the summer. The restaurant serves Hakka cuisine and Lei Cha (a Hakka rice tea). The orchard is famous for its high-grafting pears in the summer. As for the rhinoceros beetles, the farm has dozens of Litchi trees that the beetles love. Every June and July, thousands of rhinoceros beetles and other types of stag beetles can be found on the trunks of these trees. This makes the farm an excellent place for ecological education. In addition to the above, when you visit the Chen Family Farm, the owner, Chen Xin-yuan, will use materials found on the farm to teach children to make traditional bamboo flutes and dog-tail grass dogs for free.
