Lin Yi-he lived only 31 years, yet became a four-dimensional legend. Hearing his exploits from the elders, later generations restored his old residence and, honoring the handed-down brewing craft, launched vinegars and pickled products.
Besides handmade vinegar, radish sauce, and anchovies, the owner offers DIY old-wine and DIY egg-roll sessions. Reservations are required; about forty people can be accommodated at a time. Because there is only one egg-roll machine, not everyone may get a turn, so the owner advises keeping that group small.
At Lin Yi-he Workshop, while you craft you’ll hear the owner recount Lin Yi-he’s story; afterwards you can step outside to enjoy the most beautiful sunset in all of Matsu—utterly delightful.
