The "Guihua Lane" in Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County, is a small alley on Nanzhuang Old Street with a long history and a rich Hakka cultural atmosphere. Nanzhuang has three main streets, and Guihua Lane is a small alley nestled between two of them. Although it doesn't have a strong scent of osmanthus, it's still called Guihua Lane. The lane is about two meters wide and paved with vermilion brick walls. A group of community development workers and women established the "Guihua Lane Workshop" in the early days to promote local culture, which led to the naming of the lane. The alley is filled with small shops selling various Nanzhuang snacks, as well as a laundry pit where women used to wash clothes, an old post office from the Japanese era, and traditional old shops selling beautiful kimonos.
