Yongfang Bakery was founded by Mr. Cai Yaonan in 1995. The shop usually sells bread, sweet peach cakes, noodle cakes, celebratory cakes, and other items, but its signature product and best‑seller is the bird‑cake.
Since his great‑grandfather once made a living by selling red turtle cakes on the street, Mr. Cai learned baking from a young age and also worked as a hotel chef. As a result, the bakery’s preparation methods differ from traditional pastry shops; for example, the bird‑cake dough is made with a boiled‑pasta‑like oil dough, which can be rolled thinner and becomes crispier when baked.
Having been selected as one of the 319 “Smiling Stores” in Taiwan’s Tsuann‑Hua Magazine, Yongfang Bakery now offers six additional flavors—red bean, sweet potato, taro, matcha, mung‑bean paste, and shiitake curry—to give customers more choices. We welcome everyone to come and try them.
