The sweet potatoes grown in Jinshan are known for their excellent appearance and high quality. For fifteen years, siblings from the Lai family have run the Wang-Wang Sweet-Potato Farm, selling sweet potatoes and offering kiln-roasting experiences. In 2019 they opened the Wang-Wang Sweet-Potato Farm Story House; at the entrance, a cute little yellow-dog statue named Wang-Wang waves to visitors and has become a photo spot. Here, sweet potatoes are roasted in 300-degree charcoal kilns, filling the air with an irresistible aroma and a flavor unlike any other. Inside the museum, models of different sweet-potato varieties, VR experiences, and interactive displays make learning fun. In addition, a rich array of sweet-potato-flavored products—sweet-potato pudding cake, pound cake, sundaes, sweet-potato-leaf handmade soap, fries, and more—offer diverse souvenirs to share with friends and family, letting travelers to Jinshan savor truly local flavors.
