Dragon Yin Temple is one of the most important attractions in Touch. Dragon Yin Temple began construction in August 1980. It was built from scratch without any funding, and construction started on its own. In the beginning, it relied on a few sincere devotees to volunteer, and then gradually established a management committee.


Dragon Yin Temple is nestled between mountains and rivers, in an environment of clear mountains and beautiful waters, accompanied by the Long‑Chang and Dai‑Jiu bridges. It is a rest stop that tourists must pass through on their way to Alishan. Dragon Yin Temple and the suspension bridge have become landmarks for visitors traveling through Alishan, and it has also become an important scenic spot and religious site along the way. The main deity enshrined in the temple is Master Li Xiuyuan, generally known as Master Ji Gong. Because he was reborn five times to save the world, he is also called the Five‑Public Bodhisattva. Master Ji Gong attained enlightenment on the third day of the tenth lunar month, which is considered his birthday. The festival is almost always held with a grand fire‑burning ceremony every year. Its main purpose is to help sentient beings avert disaster, change misfortune, and expel demons and evil. Because the deity burns in fire, the divine power is even more magnificent, so it often attracts many palace altars and large numbers of devotees from across the country to participate in the festival. On ordinary days, people from various regions come to the temple, and the forest trail next to the temple is a great place to enjoy the scenery of the mountains and woods.
