Wan gu is a popular rice snack in Taiwan. The delicious wan gu first shows the fragrance of rice, with a soft and tender texture that secretly contains elasticity. It needs to be made with old indica rice (replant rice) that is more than one year old, and the ratio of water to rice must be precisely controlled.

"Home of Wan Gu" uses indica rice that is 2 to 3 years old, grinds it for 2 to 3 hours to make rice paste, adds meat sauce, mushrooms, and scallions, and then steams it over high heat. The old indica rice has strong water absorption, resulting in a firm and elastic texture. When eating, use a fork to draw a cross or a "rice" character on the wan gu, then scrape around between the bowl and the wan gu, or use a spoon to dig a hole, allowing the sauce to flow in, making it easier to eat. It is fragrant, smooth, and delicate, with a full rice fragrance. Handmade meat balls and fish ball soup are also loved by food lovers.
