The library’s collection can accommodate about 100,000 books and 150 types of periodicals. The space is designed with age- and demographic-based sections, featuring an infant and toddler area, a children’s reading zone, a periodicals and newspapers section, a Taichung School Special Section, a senior citizens’ area, an open-access reading area, and a “CC Architecture Gallery” dedicated to architectural and lifestyle aesthetics. Additional areas include a youth reading zone, a multi-purpose activity room, an audiovisual area, a diverse learning room, a wireless internet zone, and an information retrieval area. The library regularly hosts lectures, film screenings, and storybook sessions, providing comprehensive services to the public. The Xixi Branch specializes in “Architectural Lifestyle Aesthetics” and, on April 10th, signed a cooperation agreement with the Taichung District Architects Association to launch the “CC Architecture Gallery,” committed to the Children & Creativity philosophy and jointly creating a themed area focused on architectural lifestyle aesthetics. The “CC Architecture Gallery” houses professional architectural books and architectural periodicals from around the world, and it regularly hosts series of events such as “Architecture Exhibitions,” “Live Library,” “Architects Talk About Architecture,” and “Laughing About Architecture.” Through professional architect sharing, it brings the public closer to architecture. The minimalist and elegant reading space allows visitors to immerse themselves in books, fully experiencing the city’s new aesthetic vitality and creativity!
