Residents of Dili Village, like other Bunun ethnic groups, predominantly practice Christianity or Catholicism, with both religions represented by their respective places of worship in the village. The Catholic church in Dili Village has stood for over 50 years. It is said that more than 80% of villagers born in their 30s and 40s were delivered by nuns in a bungalow above the cathedral. This church stands as a particularly interesting record in Taiwan's landscape. The red-brick cathedral is nestled amidst lush green lawns and flourishing trees, its simplicity and sincerity exuding a quiet sense of stability that naturally slows visitors' steps and inspires reverence. Nearby, there lies a herb garden; aside from being a seasoning in cuisine and pastries, the nuns guide local women in crafting herbal sachets for sale, providing additional income for families. A basketball court is located below the church, a space that has also become a cherished companion through many impetuous teenage years for the athletic indigenous community.
