In 1989, Deng Shuling, who was in the United States, began her journey of baking due to her pregnancy and difficulty consuming greasy and salty foods. After returning to Taiwan, due to the frequent occurrence of food safety incidents, she established the Haleishi Studio, providing natural yeast bread subscription and home delivery services. Deng Shuling insisted that her bread must be 100% natural and paired with seasonal ingredients. Due to concerns about possible food additives in semi-finished products, she also made fillings herself as much as possible and visited small farmers to ensure the quality of raw materials.
Deng Shuling adopted natural sourdough yeast to ferment at low temperatures for a long time, developing a natural flavor and texture without any artificial additives. Each bread in the store undergoes a 40-hour production process, making it a healthy bread.
Due to customers' appreciation for Haleishi, a physical store was opened in 2014. To improve product quality, the store passed ISO9001 certification in 2016. Although natural yeast bread making is complicated and time-consuming, and often affected by climate, Deng's persistence is driven by customers' recognition and support.
Natural and healthy bread is a popular choice among fitness enthusiasts and health-conscious customers, especially those with high blood pressure, cholesterol, or blood sugar levels. After consuming Deng's bread, customers often report no bloating or discomfort.
Due to her fascination with fermented foods, Deng also developed other products such as sweetened tofu and rice wine. Her gardenia rice wine, gardenia flower wine, and passion fruit wine are about to be launched!
The walls of Haleishi Healthy Bakery feature murals of a magical forest and fairies, symbolizing that every bread in the store is a "healthy" and "creative" food. Upon entering, the slightly acidic taste and 100% natural ingredients work together to make every bite a magical experience that benefits your health!
