Located to the east of Nan'ao Fishing Port, this area is connected by a land bridge and sandbar, and is also known as "Hourglass Cape," the largest hourglass-shaped landform in Taiwan. Its arc-shaped indentation faces the sea, with reef rocks resembling tofu; this unique landscape earns it the name Tofu Cape. The coastal paths are well-developed and feature rich facilities, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the surroundings. The bay is an excellent spot for swimming and snorkeling. Nearby, the steep cliffs of Bijaoshan (Penknife Mountain), with abundant marine resources, attract many experienced reef fishermen. Facing east towards the sunrise, Tofu Cape is an ideal location to witness the radiant morning glow, or the breathtaking twilight vistas of the setting sun, vibrant evening clouds, and boats returning from the sea. Protected by a seawall, the waves remain calm near Tofu Cape. Accompanied by an instructor, you can submerge yourself in this colorful underwater world: ride the gentle waves for up-close encounters with marine life, watch fish gracefully gliding through the coral reefs, and experience the joy of being surrounded by swarms of fish. Tofu Cape also offers a newly popular watersport that is easier to learn than surfing—SUP Stand-Up Paddleboarding. This activity primarily uses a large paddleboard paired with a long-standing single paddle and is an extension of surfing. When participating in any marine activities, it is essential to hire professional instructors familiar with local terrain and sea conditions to ensure safety while having fun.
