Located at Zhonghua Road, Lane 17, the "Jiugujing (Well of Alcohol)" has been in existence for over a century. According to Zhangcuo's Zhang Zhenxiao (born in the Year of the Rabbit), a 90-something elderly resident, the well was already there before she was born. She recounted that when she was a child, she had seen elders using this well to make alcohol. At that time, the surrounding area mainly belonged to Zhangcuo, the surroundings were traditional single-story houses, and the well was located in the courtyard. People would gather there to collect water and produce alcohol. This is the origin of the local name "Jiuguzhang (Well of Alcohol)." According to Zhang Zhenxiao, the well's water is slightly salty. Another elder woman, Li Teng Po, over 90 years old and married from Zhangcuo to Licuo, also stated that the Jiugujing well had existed before her birth. She mentioned that the well was excavated by the ancestors of the Zhang family, and her maternal great-grandmother had produced alcohol there. Both elders indicated that making alcohol was practiced by their great-grandfathers' generation, and that their families had not brewed alcohol since their conscious age, instead shifting to agricultural work.
