嘉義縣番路鄉大庄28號之1
The Renyi Pond Reservoir is located on the upper reaches of the Bajhang Creek in Fanlu Township, Chiayi County, and is a side-channel type soil‑stone embankment reservoir. It has a catchment area of 3.66 km², a dam crest length of 1,535 m, a width of 9 m, and an annual water supply of 52 million tonnes.

Construction of the reservoir began in April of the 69th year of the Republic of China (1980) and was completed in June of the 76th year (1987) before water storage commenced. The water source is the Bajhang Creek, which is first passed through a sedimentation basin before entering the reservoir. The intake is located about 50 m downstream of the Wu‑Feng Bridge on National Route 3, where a diversion dam is built. A 1.5 km diversion channel directs the water into the Renyi Pond Reservoir, which is linked to the Lantang Reservoir for joint operation to supply drinking water to about 450,000 residents in Greater Chiayi.

The Renyi Pond Reservoir supplies drinking water to the entire city and county of Chiayi. Its surrounding lake scenery is delightful, full of green, and the pond side features a well‑planned levee trail. Couples often stroll together, and in the mornings and evenings many tourists walk, exercise, fly kites, jog, or walk their dogs. The picturesque Renyi Pond, located within Fanlu Township, has a natural irregular shape that adds infinite beauty, making it the best leisure destination for Chiayi residents on holidays.
