A Cao Medicinal Pig's Feet

2019-08-30
台北市萬華區西昌街212號
Xichang Street 224 Lane is known as "Herb Lane," a narrow alley less than 50 meters long, where shops selling herbs are gathered. Herbal medicines are hung out on the street to dry or boiled, and even the street food has a hint of herbs. "Acao Youtou Zihuo" (Herb-Flavored Pig's Feet) uses more than ten kinds of herbs to braise the pig's feet, making the meat tender and soft. When there are no pig's feet, the owner changes to selling fresh fish soup, such as sea bass or red snapper, cut into large pieces and quickly boiled in hot water, served immediately. The soup contains ginger threads and rice wine, with a clear and refreshing taste, and the fish is tender yet elastic.
