Tai Chiung Station has a history of over a century since it opened in 1908. After being converted into an elevated railway, the former railway track has been transformed into a green corridor. The green corridor stretches from Daqing Station to Fengyuan Station, a total length of 21.7 km, and the green‑sky railway is one segment of it, extending 1.6 km from Tai Chiung Station both northward and southward. The sky garden, created by repurposing the old railway, preserves the rail heritage, linking the railway cultural park, historical landmarks, and the station commercial district. From the air you can walk along the route, overlooking the Green River and the old tracks, and enjoy a multi‑layered landscape that lets you view Tai Chiung from a fresh perspective. Along the trail, many carved corridors stand, recording the memories of the century‑old railway. The unique local landscape design has also earned many domestic and international awards.
