The park is rich in pristine forest resources and covers a vast area. Inside are scenic spots such as the Green Dragon Waterfall, Herbal Plant Garden, forest log cabins, Songlong Rock Waterfall, Eyes of Heaven and Earth, thousand-year-old red cypress, Yan Hermitage, and the Red Tower. The “Shijingji,” a rock formation carved by stream water, the “Green Dragon Waterfall” shaped by the sun and moon over millions of years, and the “Eyes of Heaven and Earth” that have witnessed the passage of millennia are all magnificent natural masterpieces! More than 3,000 peonies are planted throughout the park; an endless sea of blossoms and vibrant greenery shift with the seasons, presenting ever-changing views—just like Han Yu’s spring poem: “The garden’s shades of color, reflected in the green ripples.” Shanlinxi is also the midway stop of the famous “Xi-A Cross-Island Trail” and the nation’s largest “air-conditioned room,” rich in phytoncides and negative ions.
