The "Qin Jing Jie Xiao Pavilion" located beside the circular road between Qionglin and Zhonglan, although its scale and reputation are not as famous as the "Qiu Lianggong Mother's Jie Xiao Pavilion" and the "Three Jie Pavilions in One Family," is often a place where travelers and tourists take photos, as it is located right by the main road. The "Qin Jing Jie Xiao Pavilion" is also called the "Yan's Jie Xiao Pavilion," which was built to honor Yan Shi Fengniang, the wife of Cai Zhongde from Qionglin. According to the "Jinmen Zhi" (Jinmen Chronicle), Yan Shi Fengniang was a virtuous woman from Xianju, the wife of Cai Zhongde from Pinglin. She observed the rules of widowhood at the age of 26 and passed away at the age of 81. In the fifth year of Daoguang (1826), the two sides of the Qin Jing Jie Xiao Pavilion were a vast expanse of farmland. In the rural landscape, an ancient and simple Jie Xiao Pavilion stands, adding connotations of rural culture. Although the Qin Jing Jie Xiao Pavilion is not listed as an ancient building, its historical significance should not be forgotten. Although today's views on women observing the rules of widowhood are quite different, the perseverance and hard work represented by the pavilion in raising children are indeed worth our admiration.
