金門縣891金湖鎮太武山玉章路入口處
Yuzhang Road is the mountain climbing path of Taowu Mountain. It is about 3.5 kilometers long. President Chiang Kai-shek named it "Yuzhang Road" to commemorate General Liu Yuzhang, who was the commander of the Kinmen Defense Forces from 1954 to 1957. At the entrance of Taowu Mountain, there is a pavilion with the words "Yuzhang Road" inscribed on it. The roof is covered with green glazed tiles, and it is supported by white stone columns, giving it a grand and solemn appearance. General Liu Yuzhang was born nine years before the Republic of China. He participated in campaigns such as the Northern Expedition and the War of Resistance Against Japan. In 1954, he assumed the position of commander of the Kinmen Defense Forces. During his tenure, he commanded the "September 3rd Artillery Battle," led the excavation of tunnels, trenches, and underground passages in Kinmen, constructed reinforced concrete fortifications, and developed the Taowu Mountain climbing road. As a result, during the later "August 23rd Artillery Battle," the casualties among the Republic of China military personnel were reduced, and various military equipment was protected. Yuzhang Road highlights his contributions to the transportation infrastructure of Kinmen. Along the halfway up the mountain, there is a bronze statue of General Liu Yuzhang and a pavilion called Siyuan. Along Yuzhang Road, there are rich native plants and birds. In addition, there are many scenic spots such as the Jade Rabbit Rock, the Site of the Prince of Yanping Observing Soldiers and Playing Go, the "Never Forget the State of Ju" monument, and the Haiyin Temple.
