Ride gently uphill through the new Ba Ji Tunnel, contrasting the leisurely scenes of diners at scenic restaurants and farm visitors with the rapid pace of your two-wheeled adventure. Before entering Sanmin Village in Fenghsing District, the route offers long, straight segments—perfect for building momentum and speed. Within Yilan’s territory, the route consists mostly of downhill segments. After passing the Mingchi National Forest Recreation Area and finishing the final major challenge—the Situlan Hairpin Turn—you’ll effortlessly conquer Yuanshan and Yilan City until reaching the easternmost endpoint of the Northern Cross-Island Highway—Zhuangwei.
