Originally known as the Miyang Creek Trail, the 2.3-kilometer-long trail winds along the banks of Miyang Creek. The Zhuo tribe villagers, known for their cheerful nature, named it "Mihu Trail" based on the harmonious sounds of "米" (mi) and "湖" (hu). The trail features several pavilions, perfect for taking a break during the rainy season, listening to the gentle gurgling of the creek, and feeling refreshed. Even during non-rainy seasons, the bamboo forest trail is shaded, making for a relaxed and enjoyable walk. The northern exit is located at 66k on Highway 18, offering scenic views, a parking lot, and restrooms. The southern exit is across from the Alishan Township Office, near "Shouquan" (Vessel Spring), which is said to be a historical spring water source. Visitors can also proceed to the Lemihang Bridge and then head towards the Fushan Ancient Trail. A beautiful and elegant Miyang Suspension Bridge stretches across the valley, while the trail quietly beckons from the other end, as if tree fairies and flower spirits might emerge to dance at any moment. The trail is lined with numerous plum trees, offering a sweet and tangy plum flavor that's refreshing. At the intersection with the Fushan Ancient Trail, one can find the "Life Bean," which symbolizes Zhuo tribe's life and love. This trail is also an excellent spot for birdwatching, with species like the Chinese Bulbul, White-eared Pheasant, Red-headed Trogon, and Five-colored Bird. Friendly facilities: Accessible restrooms (near the parking lot) ■ Restroom hours: 8:00-17:00
