In order to achieve balanced regional development across Miaoli County and create a cultural space that seamlessly integrates art, life, and leisure, the Miaoli County Government has constructed the "Miaonbei Art and Cultural Center." The initial intention behind this project was to consolidate the artistic and cultural resources of the Miaonbei living circle, enhance local cultural素养 and artistic ambiance, and promote local distinctive cultural features to the international stage. Additionally, it aims to appropriately introduce cultural and artistic elements from across the strait and internationally, transforming Miaoli County into a joyful paradise for enjoying cultural life. The Miaonbei Art and Cultural Center is a modern building with five floors above ground and two floors below ground. The total building area covers 0.9255 hectares. The center is positioned as a "county-level" performance venue. The main spaces are planned as follows: a performance hall (1090 seats), an experimental theater (230 seats), an audio-visual center, an outdoor performance area, an art exhibition area, and artist-in-residence studios. The center is designed to accommodate various types of music, theater, and dance performances from around the world, as well as exhibitions, training sessions, and large gatherings. The essence of art and culture not only lies in the visual and auditory performances but also in the audience's personal experience of participating in cultural and artistic activities. Therefore, the future operational guidelines for the Miaonbei Art and Cultural Center will focus on "operational management" and "event production." By integrating local cultural and creative industry resources and enhancing group exhibition capabilities, the center will concentrate on three main axes: "art and cultural performances," "educational transmission," and "cultural leisure." The goal is to establish the Miaonbei Art and Cultural District as the core of development, primarily serving the local community in Miaonbei, and then gradually expanding to art enthusiasts across Miaoli County and the entire nation.
