Where sapphire seas of cloud meet golden ginkgo, they weave a poem-like symphony; emerald, rolling high-mountain tea gardens drift in veils of mist, a sky-filling expanse of ginkgo green found only here. Perched at 1,250–1,500 m, the “Dalun Mountain Ginkgo Tea Gardens” are Lugu Township’s largest oolong tea district, covering more than a hundred hectares. The tea grown here—rich, mellow, and sweetly lingering—draws fanatical tea-lovers who come to “seek tea” and savor its fragrant cup. Dalun’s cool climate and year-round clouds once nourured stands of mao bamboo; after widespread blight, farmers switched to oolong and ginkgo, planting over eighty hectares of the latter—now Southeast Asia’s largest ginkgo forest. Today the Dalun Mountain Ginkgo Tea Gardens rank among Lugu’s star attractions: a sweeping vista of cloud sea, tea bushes, and ginkgo that lifts every care away. Ringed by peaks, the blazing golden groves offer a serene and dazzling scene before your very eyes!
