The Ankeng Light Rail spans approximately 7.5 kilometers, linking the Ankeng area with Xindian’s city center. Along its route are nine stations, running from K1 Shuangcheng Station to K9 Shisizhang Station, where passengers can transfer to the Circular Line. The most eye-catching structure along the Ankeng Light Rail is the Anxin Bridge, which crosses the Xindian River. This single-tower, asymmetric cable-stayed bridge rises 130 meters and stretches 502 meters, making it the longest cable-stayed railway bridge in Taiwan. The bridge’s majestic frame allows Ankeng Light Rail trains to glide smoothly across the Xindian River, while its towering white pylon has become a striking new landmark for the Xindian district. It complements the colorful light-rail bridges of the Circular Line up- and downstream and the elegant arc of the Xindian River Sunshine Bridge, together with distant Taipei 101, forming the skyline of southern New Taipei City. In the future, as trains cross the Anxin Bridge, the truss will light up progressively in the direction of travel, creating a captivating sight at night.
