The Matsu Scenic Area boasts exceptional attractions and authentic Fuzhou cuisine from Matsu, offering an alluring charm that entices literary figures and gourmet enthusiasts to linger endlessly. Seasonal wildflowers in full bloom across the hills create a picturesque seascape garden, allowing visitors to transcend worldly troubles. After the termination of the martial law period, Matsu National Scenic Area Administration was officially established on November 26, 1999, exclusively responsible for planning, construction, and management of the scenic zone.
Upon arriving at the Nangan Visitor Service Center, the grassy slope beside it features sculpted swallows darting through the air. This, combined with the Nangan Visitor Center's architectural design inspired by Fujian stone houses, nearby sea cliffs, and rhythmic waves, along with the neighboring Beihai Cave and Da Han Observation Post, collectively craft an idyllic scene reminiscent of a paradise untouched by the world. The center also offers comprehensive, modern facilities, providing services such as video introductions, tourism consultations, and brochure distribution, together with a souvenir shop, making it the ideal rest stop for travelers exploring Matsu's Nangan.
