台中市北區北平路2段98-2號
In 1938 (Republic of China Year 27), the earliest Mitsu Ma Mei (蜜豆冰) was operated by Mr. Chen Xi from the Longjing area near Taichung Railway Station, using a handcart to sell along the street. The Mitsu Matcha at that time was inspired by Japan's Four-Fruit Ice, combined with over a dozen ingredients. Around 1943 (Republic of China Year 32), the business entered the First Market, finally securing a small stall, which was named [Xinfatting] (辛發亭). After a fire, [Xinfatting] fortunately suffered only damage to its signboard and a small part of the storefront; as a result, it was renamed [Xu Fatting] (幸發亭) to express the hope of transforming hardship into good fortune. The Mitsu Matcha, known for its abundant toppings, became a cherished memory of many students, soldiers, and Taichung residents in the past. In recent years, new products such as snow ice, hand-made tofu pudding, and tender grass jelly have also been developed. For decades, the business has adhered to sincere and meticulous principles of management and is currently operated by the third generation of the family, continuing to uphold and pass on these nostalgic flavors. Recommended menu items include Signature Mitsu Matcha, Red Bean and Milk Ice, Mango Ice, and various Snow Ices.
