In November 2016, two girls who had studied fine arts together returned to their hometown of Chiayi City, each from their respective working cities. They opened a quiche shop in a small alley in the city. The name "Ri Qing" (literally "Sun Clear") comes from the team name they chose, which was inspired by their shared love of hiking. The name symbolizes their wish for every day to be sunny. Given their fine arts background, the two girls had unique ideas for the interior design of their shop. They did not want to follow any specific style, so they personally painted the walls, arranged a variety of small sundries and cute tableware on shelves, and placed their beloved small models around the shop. This made every nook and cranny of the shop a reflection of their thought and creativity. The aesthetic of Ri Qing Quiche cannot be categorized or replicated, as it comes from the boundless imagination of the two girls. The two girls share another passion - quiche and scones. After tasting quiches and scones from all over the world, they discovered that the most wonderful flavors come from a mother's love and dedication to cooking for her family. Therefore, they decided to create their own recipes, rolling up their sleeves and diving into the world of flour and cream. Their goal was to provide all their customers with delicious, safe, and healthy food, just like a mother would for her family. Although they once considered giving up due to the complexity of making quiche, seeing customers enjoy their food and feeling satisfied, and experiencing the relaxed atmosphere in the shop, made it all worthwhile. The essence of Ri Qing is to allow people to savor natural and healthy food, and to appreciate life and the present moment. In the future, regardless of the weather, Ri Qing will continue to provide warm and delicious food in Chiayi City.
