A temple of Tu Di Gong located beside the Jiulongkou and the intersection of Zhu Shi Garden Ecological Research and Learning Center. According to legend, when the Japanese built the hydroelectric project on Sun Moon Lake, the local residents often saw a group of shiny things flying in the sky. It was said that they were the "Little Dragons" living at the bottom of the lake. Due to the construction work, they were disturbed. They moved towards Puli Township. This place is where people first spotted the Little Dragons, and thus it was named "Jian Jing". In modern scientific terms, on a sunny day, when the sun shines on the lake surface, the water shimmers and sparkles, especially from the location of the Tu Di Gong Temple. Looking out, one can see that the water surface is shiny and glittering, and thus it got its name "Jian Jing".
