Guchi Peak, located on Gao Feng Rd. in Hsinchu City, was formerly known as Ping Pu Ding. It is one of the new eight scenic spots in Hsinchu, with the view of "Guchi Yuan Zhao". The Guchi Peak Scenic Area is famous for its temples and statues, with the most impressive being the Pujing Palace (Kuan Kung Temple), which features a 120-foot-tall statue of Kuan Kung. The once famous Guchi Peak Glass Street still has remnants of its past, and in front of Pujing Palace, there is the Guchi Peak Recreation Park. Visitors can enjoy the scenery from a height, and the park also features an indoor exhibit of artifacts, precious works, and antiques. Additionally, a barbecue area is available for tourists, making it a great place for a day trip on weekends.
