"Sound Light Year" is a historical building over 80 years old. Originally a dormitory for Japanese professors, it was taken over by the National Government after World War II and used as a residence for government officials. It is now one of the historical buildings managed by the Taipei City Government. After two years of careful reconstruction by Panshi Culture Communication, the original appearance of this historical building has been restored.
The exhibition includes antique music boxes, Edison phonographs, 78-rpm and 33-rpm vinyl records... a phonograph story museum centered around music.
"Sound Light Year" covers about 200 ping (approx. 660 square meters), with a garden of more than 100 ping (approx. 330 square meters). The garden features a small pond, a bridge, and a Japanese style atmosphere. Here, in addition to listening to analog music and smelling the wood fragrance, with the garden and green trees outside, it is a great place to relax and unwind.
