General's Mansion was the residence of Lu Chengjin, who was awarded the title of Wu Xian General in the late Qing Dynasty. Lu Chengjin's courtesy name was Weili, and his pseudonym was Fenting. He was born in the second year of Daoguang and died in the twentieth year of Guangxu. As a child, he was poor, and when he grew up, he joined the military. He was rewarded for his efforts in chasing and eliminating pirates by sea, and soon he was promoted to an extra officer. During the Xianfeng and Tongzhi periods, Chengjin first participated in suppressing the small knife society bandits who had invaded Xiamen. There was fierce fighting at Zhonggang and Jinwwei, and the bandit ships were almost entirely destroyed. Soon after, he launched an attack on Xiamen and recovered it, then chased and eliminated the remaining bandits. He was eventually appointed as the commander of the rear camp of the mobile guard due to his accumulated merits, and he achieved numerous achievements.
