宜蘭縣蘇澳鎮武荖坑路75號
Wulaokay Creek is part of the Shinching Creek waterscape. The creek enters the alluvial plain here, showcasing a harmonious blend of mountain and water landscapes. Formerly known as "Wulaokay Forest and Spring," it is a renowned scenic attraction among the "Shinlanyang Eight Scenic Views." The foothills of Wulaokay Creek have a suitable climate for tea cultivation. Wulaokay tea is celebrated for its delicate aroma and sweet taste, gaining widespread acclaim. The area is lush with thriving forests, and in the clear streams one can observe fish like the *Kua-hua*, *Xi-ge*, and *Mao-xie* leisurely drifting through the babbling waters. The saying, "The large stone drums of Wulaokay echo beautiful melodies, while Ajiachen water nurtures exquisite young women," describes how the creek's flowing water creates musical tones by striking rocks, while the lower Ajiachen River area, with its crystal-clear water and fresh air, is said to have given rise to many pure and beautiful girls. The scenic area spans 400 hectares, featuring a planned 70-hectare camping site divided into two major campsites capable of accommodating up to 1,000 campers. The facilities are well-equipped, including communal cooking pavilions, campfire gathering areas, indoor meeting spaces for rainy days, and complete restroom facilities for both genders. Combined with its unique natural landscapes, the area serves as a multifaceted recreational hub offering camping, picnics, river exploration, hiking, ecological education, and tea tasting. Since 2001, the annual Green Expo has been held from March to May, conveying environmental concepts, natural ecosystems, energy, biotechnology, and eco-friendly values through engaging and educational activities.
