Located at 20.8K on Road 118 in Hsinchu County, near Xinpu and Guanxi, Gaoping Tomato Farm is a certified farm that specializes in growing a variety of delicious and healthy tomatoes, sweet peppers, and other high-quality agricultural products. The farm is divided into two locations for convenience; Gaoping 1 (originally Gaoping Farm, now only open on weekends) is situated in Datong Village, Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County, about 2 kilometers from the Guanxi interchange towards Xinpu. The farm spans approximately one hectare and features a range of fresh produce. Gaoping 2 (open daily during the harvest season) is located in Shiguang Village, Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County (19.8K on Road 118), with a larger planting area compared to Gaoping 1. The farm's tomatoes and colorful sweet peppers are harvested from October to May. Visitors can enjoy a more spacious picking experience and modern facilities at Gaoping 2. Among the various types of fruits, tourists particularly enjoy picking the large and beautiful Momotaro tomatoes and red and yellow small tomatoes, which are sweet and delicious. Gaoping Farm uses Dutch-imported specialized soil for cultivation and adopts a greenhouse soil cultivation method. Although the soil needs to be replaced annually, and the cost is higher, the complex cultivation process results in tomatoes with a superior taste and quality. The rigorous management ensures that the quality of the produce is improved and guaranteed. The farm offers a range of activities, including a try-before-you-buy policy at the farm gate, phone reservations for home delivery, and a special products exhibition area. DIY activities such as painting, pounding glutinous rice, and more are available. Visitors can experience farm life and leisure activities suitable for families. All the fruits and vegetables at the farm are grown in greenhouses. The farm grows many different varieties of delicious, safe, and healthy tomatoes. Apart from tomatoes, Gaoping Farm also grows colorful sweet peppers, corn, small yellow cucumbers, and seasonal vegetables.
