Located at the western end of Nan'gan, Fu Ren Village was once sparsely populated, with more than 20 households and over 100 residents. However, around 1970, like other villages, Fu Ren Village experienced a significant population outflow, gradually turning into an abandoned village and allowing its beautiful bay to remain overgrown with weeds for 20-30 years. Facing a hill to the sea, the village is fronted by Fugao Port, the docking point for Taipower ferries and a current hub for small three-way transportation. The quiet village contrasts with the bustling harbor, forming a unique scene. Visitors to Fu Ren Village should also visit the distinctive "Fu Ren Café." The café is also a guesthouse. For backpackers uncertain where to stay, the Fu Ren Guesthouse is an excellent choice.
